Hi there! Welcome to Foodysis.com. My name is Khurshid Ali, and I am the home cook, recipe developer, and messy storyteller behind everything you see on this website.
If you have ever stared at a frying pan in a foreign country, desperately wishing your kitchen smelled like your mother’s home, you are exactly why I started this digital space.

My Story From Homesickness to Homemade Food
I didn’t grow up as a prodigy chef. Back home in Pakistan, cooking was something that just happened beautifully around me. I spent my childhood watching my mother navigate the kitchen, turning simple spices, onions, and meat into comforting masterpieces by pure instinct. I was always the one eating, never the one holding the spoon.
Everything changed a few years ago when I moved away from home to live in a completely different country.
Suddenly, the comfort net was gone. I was surrounded by unfamiliar streets, fast food joints, and a heavy, aching homesickness. I desperately craved the taste of traditional traditional beef keema matar, the warmth of fresh daal, and the rich aroma of home-cooked chicken. Out of sheer survival and a deep longing for my roots, I bought my first set of spices, called my mother on WhatsApp, and stepped into my tiny apartment kitchen.
My initial attempts were absolute disasters. I burned the garlic, my curries tasted watery, and my rice always turned into a mushy paste. But every failure taught me something. I realized that cooking wasn’t just about following instructions; it was about understanding how ingredients react to heat, moisture, and time. Cooking became my therapy, my way of staying connected to home, and eventually, my absolute passion.
What Makes Foodysis Different?
After spending years mastering both traditional South Asian comfort food and practical Western kitchen hacks, I realized most food blogs are broken. They give you a sterile list of ingredients and a few robotic steps. When your food turns out dry or ruined, they aren’t there to help you fix it.
That is why I created Foodysis (Food + Analysis). This site is built on three core rules:
- Real Experience, Zero Fluff: Every single recipe and tip on this site is tested by me, Khurshid, in a real, imperfect home kitchen. If it isn’t delicious, it doesn’t get published.
- The Science of “Why”: I don’t just tell you what to do. I explain why it works—like the chemical reason your chicken turns dry, or how to soften butter in minutes without melting it.
- Troubleshooting First: I write for the panicked cook who is standing over a stove right now trying to rescue an over-salted dish.
Let’s Cook Together
Today, I have over five years of active hands-on kitchen experience, turning culinary failures into reliable formulas. Whether you are an international student missing your mom’s cooking, a busy professional trying to use less oil, or a absolute beginner who is afraid of burning the toast—I am here to guide you step-by-step.
Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the internet. Grab a skillet, don’t be afraid to make a mess, and let’s make something comforting tonight.
